I have a festae that i noticed had a little bit of white around the very outer part of the eye. Dont know if its from fighting or a disease. will try and post a pic.

Have never had any sort of disease before and i'm a freak about water changes.

Hi Norman,

Has the fish been injured before?
What are the water parameters?
What test kit are you using?

The outer layer may simply either be injury or because of poor water conditions (I doubt it if you're consistent with water changes).

In the meantime, I'd simply do another water change and add a teaspoon of sodium chloride per gallon. If you observed any aggression among your fish, then injury is likely the cause of this issue in which case, you need to remove the suspect to allow the festae to recover.

Thank you for the response. I do believe its injury and i did a massive water change today and added salt. With all my searching i couldnt find anything that looked like it in the diseases lists.

Thought that was on the eye itself. This is white like around the outside of the eye.

Finally got a few pics.

Ahh...That isn't cloudy eyes. Does it look like simply a graze mark or scratch? If it is, keep to the early instructions on salt.

I believe its a scratch just never seen one that was all white like this. Took out all the big sharper rocks, it is so close to the eye i would have been pretty emotional if she lost it.

Got myself all paranoid that its something worse. Thanks again for the replys and advice.
