My girlfriend's only fish of the day, a beast of a chinook. Few others on the deck...think we had four keepers on at once.

Sweet man. Where were you?

Impressive. Was it a charter? I'm planning a trip to WA soon to visit a buddy. Know any good river spots?

Yeah it was a charter. How soon is soon? River as in from shore or from a boat? River fishing for trout, salmon, or steelhead? Washington is a big state. I know a few good rivers but they're in a pretty small general area.

We'll be fishing from shore most likely for trout, steelies, or salmon. We both bought fly rods last year and are trying them out in a real river for once. He lives in Cour D'Lane (spelling?) ID, so I don't know if that's anywhere near you fish.

As for timing, I'm not sure exactly when I'll be coming. Still have to work that out, but he is in PA school and he has a month off from Aug 20th to Sept 20th. That's my time line.

Nice catch!!! My dad lives up near Port Ludlow and drives up to Neah bay (up north) to launch and go out into the ocean. I've got some pics of my haul from a few years back. I'll post them when I get home.

I'm planning to go out there again next summer. and maybe go for some halibut too (depending on when I'm up there).

Coeur d'Alene is a nice area, but it's about 6 hours driving from where I grew up. So I'm no help.

Fishing any good this time of year in the rivers? I've never done any trout/steelhead/salmon fishing, so I have no idea.

Sorry to keep getting off track.
