Little earthquake, little leak.

We had a 4.2 shaker centered about 30 miles away out in the Pacific near the Las Perlas islands they other morning about 3 AM.
I slept through it, but after getting up later noticed the 180 was leaking a little.

The next afternoon found out the poop about the tremor at the local beach bar, a Dutch couple had been awake reading at the time.
I guess if I look on the bright side, its the start of an automatic drip system

That's weird, I was just thinking about earthquakes and tsunami earlier today (thinking esp. if the latter hits on this side of the island we/tanks could be pretty screwed). But glad it wasn't worse and good thing you were around to notice the leak.

As the afternoon wore on, and more drinks were poured, death by tsunami, or falling into an abyss became the popular topic. The Dutch couple live up on the hill, and I only 50 yards from the beach, so I gave them my Email list, noting I will probably be one of the fist to go.

We live in the Cascadia Subduction Zone. When the next big one goes off, I don't expect my house or fish tank to survive. We'll be lucky to survive with our lives. If I happen to be in our little town when Cascadia goes off, I will need to get to higher ground before the tsunami wipes out the town.

That's not good. And it's your only tank down there?

The leak has slowed by about 1/2, , and since the tank is outside on the patio, the water won't cause any damage.
