Got 8 pbass an 2 arowanas. All the fish are around 7 to 9" some of the bass tails are getting nipped pretty bad .. An my smaller arowana couple scales chipped up an tailed alittle frayed.. Been doing w/c salt melafix cuz saw alittle fin rot an it gets better but then starts again couple says later ..
They seem to all get along I think there just playing around .. But I don't wanna use melafix everyday for long period of time to fix this problem.. Any way to reduce this behavior besides adding hiding spots ? Tank is bare of decorations only Sand

Yea I think imma hafta add a couple plants do dithers really help with aggression ? What are some good dithers? An if I take out dithers when they are bigger will aggression lesson when they mature ?

Yes dithers done right help. My personal favorites are Severums, Flag tail, and Silver Dollars in order. I have used more and they work, these are just my favs.

dithers for sure and depending on how big the tank is it wouldnt hurt to put some wood in there to keep anything from being constantly chased from corner to corner. Goodluck!

Now here's the thing I have 8 bass an 2 arowanas there all 8 or 9" I won't be upgrading till next summer.. I know my tank is kinda full will adding some dithers really way over crowd my tank? It's 7' x 2' x 2'. 200 gal Or should I add some caves instead ? It's bare tank only sand no decorations I took them out 2 months ago to give them more room to swim around

Sounds like you painted yourself into a corner.

Dithers are like a distraction, caves are like a place to get jumped.
