The other day I noticed that my GF little jag had moved tons of rocks around itstank. A day later and we came home to see hundreds of eggs covering the verticle side of a large rock in her tank. What would make her lay eggs on her own? I thought she needed a trigger from a male to get her ready? Anyway, we thought it was pretty cool and snapped a pic with her cell phone (sorry for crappy pic cant find the camera)

Fishes lay eggs all the time by themselves, you can trigger them to produce eggs by raising the water temp or doing a large water change with increased water temp....

I was thinking of letting my male freddy do his thing, could I just put him in there or would they have to first become a pair first? Just a lil worried since my freddy is about 6.5" and the jag is only 3" so aggression would be an issue.
