If its a female, it has very washed out colors. How big is it? Maybe its a mayan cichlid.

hard to say whether its a mayan or a red terror get some more pics when it settles in looks like a mayan cichlid i would say female either way

It's not a Mayan it's a very washed out male Festae. The Ocellus is above the lateral line. Give him a few days to settle in and he should color up.

No that would mean it's not a Festae. A female's forward half of her dorsal fin will be black or dark blue. See my avatar, she's a female.
