I got 2 Synphilus and recntaly found out that they are a pair and started breading but has caused havok in the tank due defending the young.

Is there anything i can do to stop them breading?

it´s better that you ask these q at the breeding section. but I´ve been told that to make most sa cichlids come into breeding mode you have to turn temp up to 27 celsius, and every time my fish has mated the temp was 27. I´m no breeder though, as I said, ask in the breeding section .

All I have to say on the subject is the only time I bread my fish is for fish and chips. It's breeeeeeeed.
