I just recently got my first Dat, a little silver for a steal and he's about 3" now. He's a fantastic little fish that I'm growing up to put in a 130 with some larger bichirs. I know that will be wayyyyy down the line but I was wondering what others have found in terms of growth for these guys? is 1-2" /year standard?
He's eating live fish now, just started taking the occasional bloodworm and silverside. I've been trying small crickets from a rec at the LFS to move him to pellets. All of my other fish eat hikari carn sticks or massivore.
Hopefully I'll have pics soon as he is a delightful little fish and very social!
