So there are little transparent worms crawling around on the glass inside my tank. Also crawling around in my filter I've noticed that they crawl to the top of the tank and wiggle around untill they basically hatch into a small greenish gnat looking bug. My plecos eat them off the glass and my other dish pick them off when they surface but my question is what are they and are they harmful? They are to small to take pics.

Most likely gnats, mosquito, or fly larvae. Its not harmfull to the tank, although im sure you would preferre that they were not breeding in your house. If your tank is not planted, you can try adding a low dose of copper to the tank to wipe them out.

Completly vacume your tank while doing a large water change. When was the last time the filter was cleaned? What size is the tank and how many plecos are in it? sounds like too much detritus built up.

And it's a 155g an I have two fluval 404 filter pumps. Plenty of filtration for the size tank and nota on my ammonia and nitrites. Nitrate levels at in check and vac visible waste twice a week and on my weekly water changes. I am very thorough with maintenance.
