little white bits on my f.h.

Just a little prob. i have an f.l. and he has just developed little white fleks mostly on his head but some down his body, i have been treating him for white spot but none of the other fish have it.
I dont know if it has anything to do with it but there has been some breeding behaviour going on with him and my little convict, i dont suppose these could be some sort of eggs.

SOunds like ich, you can treat it by using aquarium salt and raising temp to above 80+ degrees . Search the forum for ich remedies.

The idea with the salt is that ich does not like it and it will fall off the fish. Then they will be free floating and that is where the higher temps come in .. because it is a parasite, it cant live in higher temp.


Look on the forum, it will tell you exactly what to do. I have mixed Ick cure with the higher temps and salt and had great success, just make sure to remove carbon if you are using meds.
