State of Emergency
I have some little white things in one of my tanks.

Too small to see or describe, they are in my fry tank. they move around & appear to be attracted to light. They congregate on the side of the tank where there is a desk lamp. they appear to move on the glass & into the tank then back to the glass.

I didn't have any luck doing a search for "little white dot things", so any help is appreciated.

are they worms if so its more than likely planeria
do a search for that and see if it is the same thing you have

They are white nuisance worms, not harmful to the fish. I forget what they are called, I want to say Planeria but I could be wrong.

They usually manifest themselves from poor gravel cleaning and build up of waste in the substrate. When the substrate becomes to clogged or they run out of food and need to 'search' for new sources, they climb up the glass.

Clean your tank really good and manually remove them if need be, usually fish eat them though.. Gravel Vac, Gravel Vac, Gravel Vac..

Thanks for the replys, bit I am not sure about it...

Last time I had a planaria issue, they were larger. These are just dots, 1 mm tops. perhaps babies?

It appears my daughter tossed in a couple algea disks into the tank a few weeks ago. I dont usually vac the gravel cause the fry are usually in there. hopefilly with a little feeding neglect, they will get eaten.

Thanks again

They might be copepods. If they swim in jerky movents it is likely to be them. Most of the time they are harmless, but they serve as the host to juvenile nematodes. In about two months, inspect your fish for bloating or fat bellies, and worms hanging out the vent.

are they somehing called vineger ells or something like that? They feed off of high nirtate or nitrite but i cant remember for sure

Chompers ROCKS....

I searched & found fotos that match the bastages...

This is a fry tank with currently about 100 black con fry (1 cm) that were going to grow a bit till the Os & JD need a snack. I dont want to put too much into saving the cons. Are they sensitive to salt? perhaps a bit of nacl?

Everything I find is about breading them as food. these cons dont seem to like them. keep spitting them out..
