worms on bichirs??? what do you do to your water???

usually spit and pee in it...........

like what type of feeds to you feed them? i used to feed mine blood worms but so far i haven't seen any of them sticking out of my bichir's body...

Like all fish, Bichirs are susceptible to infestation by various types of internal and external worms or worm-like parasites. Since many Bichir species are still only available as wild-caught specimens, any parasite they had when they were captured is usually still with them when you plop them into your aquarium. They could also pick up a parasite from their tank-mates at the LFS, from any new fish you add to your aquarium or from live feeder fish (a common occurrence). Certain parasites (Macrogyrodactylus polypteri, for example) are very specific about the hosts they will infest. Others, like the anchor 'worm' apparently have a much more generalized appetite.

Regardless, the Jungle Parasite Clear should do the trick. As recommended, use half the dose mentioned on the box but follow the treatment regimen exactly.
