Well for anyone that looks at this post and is wondering and looking for info on this, cause there doesnt seem to be enough out there, maybe cause people usually dont wanna spend $1000+ dollars on live rock just to kill it, I happened to get them free so it was no cost to me, i got a big 50 gallon bucket rised off all the rock in water filled the bucket with all the rock then filled the bucket with warm water, in attempts to loses and lose sand and dead bacteria etc that could be attached to the coral/live (dead) rock, let it sit over night then the next day like 24 hours later individually took each rock and sprayed them down to loosen any debris that was attached to the rock, once all were washed empty the bucket with was full of sand and bits and pieces or rock, filled it with the rock again and filled it with water.
Repeated this process for 3 days then on the 4th day bought a wired brush for like tubing and scrub each getting in all the hole and crevasse... then filled the bucket with rock and water and again and repeated this process for 3 days and then i took all the rock out let it dry out for a day.. then checked my ph levels before putting them in the tank... now there in my tank for the past 3 days everything looks get no issues and will check all the levels next week to see if the are any major changes...
