live feeding firemouths

if i were to get privete raised shrimps ( ghost shrimps ) and they survived for a while will my fireouths still eat them when there older??? AND WILL the firemouths eat feeder gupps that are home raised?

i now what most of u are gonna say :dont feed them live food: but they pick at 2 of the ghost shrimps i have in there and teh ghost shrimps are 1 inch long. so will they eventualy eat them and teh feeder guppys???

i ahve about fifteen 1/2 inch to an inch gups and just found 4 shrimps left actualy

Yeah, the FM will eat them. It's OK to feed live fish you've bred yourself. The problem is with the ones you buy at the LFS, as they usually have some kind of parasite that they will pass on to your fish.

well i have 2 feeder gups and dont now how many shrimps left and 4 rosey reds left now. YAY atleast i now there eating them i hope atleast.

Ummmmm,i thought that Inverts couldn't pass on parasites to fish because they don't/can't get fish diseases?? Am i wrong?
