I am looking to breed live fish for my reds to eventually eat. I was curious if anyone knew the easiest and fastest breeding fish with the best nutritional value for pirahna's to eat? My little guys are still small so I should have enough time to build up a nice fry of food. :naughty:

Convicts, I just bought 2 for 6 bux at petsmart, they havent bred yet, but they are cool fish. I hear they breed fast and often. anything else is probly too small like guppies ya know.

If I feed live fish to my P's, I feed them Convicts that I raise. They breed so often and so much that you really can't give them away. Not to mention they are healthier then goldfish.

It is very common for them to fail the first few attempts. Mine laid eggs once a week for 2 months before I saw any wrigglers. So don't give up on them because once they actually do get it right, your piranhas will be able to eat for 100's and 100's of years.
