live food for buttikoferi

what kind of live food besides worms could a 7 inch butti eat.I was thinking small crawdads but i want to see what u guys think.I tried snails but he just bites the shell and pushes it across the tank back and forth.should i have to crush the shell.

ive fed mine live crawdads. snails as well, it took him awhile to figure out how to eat the snails though. oh and for a small snack i fed him triops.

butti was only about 5-6 inches at the time. was mad that i happened to turn the camera shortly before he actually killed them. basically he came up from behind them and turned them over.

Thanks. at that time he was solo in a 55g. once he got to about 8 inches i commed him in my 220.
