Live Food.... Gammarus Shrimp

I just got a culture of these bad boys and at 1st glance they look like swimming fleas. The guy i got them from says they are great for fish under 4". The bite size snacks are a excellent source of food for all cichlids and they even have something in there shells that is great for the color of the fish (forgot the actual name)

Has anybody else tried these ? Pros & Cons ?

I have gammarus in most of my tanks. They flourish on uneaten food and detritus. And since they're side-swimmers, they survive grazing by the fish by hiding under the substrate, rocks, driftwood, etc.
