Where can I get daphnia (water fleas) or mosquito larvae to feed my loaches?

or

How can I grow my own live brine shrimp for food? Those pet shop trips and prices get annoying.

You can buy brine shrimp eggd at most fish shops. Large chains have them for sure.

You can get mosquito larva by leaving a pail of water in dark places but keep checking or you'll get your house infested with plenty of mosquitoes. Check your laws. Most places ban such practice due to the threat mosquitoes can pose.

As for daphnia, they can be found in most ponds but I wouldn't try it due to the possibility of introduction of pathogens. They're available as commercial foods though.

Great video.... Seems valuable for any breeders out there.

I was going to say the same as Lupin, any pond w/ a bit of vegitation will have Daphnia. However, they may have some nasties that would not be advised to add to your aquarium.
