well for my quarantine tank i have a 5 gal so i don't think that is big enough i will later get a bigger quarantine tank to house ciclids to feed but would breeding molly's or guppies be godd for this tank size
 
mollys and guppies are fine.. but i would just stick to shrimp, pellets, fish fillets, beefheart.. it makes it so the ps are accustomed to taking dead food early on.
 
The only guarantee on good feeders are the ones that you would raise yourself. If you're really interested in feeding live, I would suggest something they can finish off in one bite. I know some people are interested in seeing their P's rip and tear apart something live, but I don't think it's unnecessary and it's messy.
 
i would highly reccomend BABY KOI my piranhas got alot bigger on them and they are a good source of protein
