live insect fridge idea

ok here my idea see you cant buy say 5000 mealworms and crickets and woodies and stuuf and expect thm to live longer then say 2 weeks with out a fridge but since my mum hates bugs i have to buy my live foods in small quantities like 50 at a time so if i were to build a mini diy fridge say with a esky have the bug boxes they come in stacked in there with a 2litre soda botle with frozen water in it to cool it down so to say refrigirate the bugs(replaced every day ) adding moister every 2 day via water squirt botlle this could save money so you coud buy insectes in large quantity thus saving money
aka refrigerating the bugs slows down there metabulism so they live for upto 3 months
let me know on your thoughts with my idea
if this sounds crazy well thats my mind for you
 
yea i asked my parent they said no mini fridge i aprantly have too many things pluged in my reply i onlly hav 6 tanks and 2 ponds lol so not aloud mini fridge

im not aloud to put ugs in the frige it creeps the poop out o my mum
 
mate if you find a good esky you can make ice last up to 7 days depending on your ice-to-air ratio inside it. But it may be a bit of a chore to maintain and stop the thing from slowly flooding. Also if you freeze a 2Lt bottle, it will likely split from expansion.
