My mealworm farm is really taking off and I've got plenty to thin out. Make great food for fish, birds, reptiles, etc.

$2 per 100
$10 per 1000

I may ship when weather warms up if I still have thousands of extras

Can you give me the scoop on mealworms? How does there nutritional value compare to other foods? How big are they? I have medium sized cichlids which I am guessing would have no problem with them and I also have grow outs that range in size from 1 - 2 inches. And finally, how long do they keep and in what conditions do you store them?

As far as nutrition goes, they do have a lot of chitin compared to their size, but they are high in protein (around 50% I believe). The ones I have right now are about 1" long, but I should have another batch of smaller ones soon. I keep them around room temperature, but at this temperature, they need to be fed, watered, and will metamorphose into beetles. If kept refrigerated, they'll last you a few weeks

How do you get these guys to breed? I keep superworms for my leichardti aro and other fish....super easy to keep. But havent gotten them to bread yet....pm me.

And a bump for you
