Live or Fake Plants

I've had piranhas for a few years now and their about 8 inches or so (i have 4 of them) and well... more so than feederfish they like to eat the plants i put in the tank with them, live or fake, any suggestions on live plants that wouldnt tasete good to them? or any ideas on how to stop this annoying behavior?

I think all P's do that. all my plants have large amount of bites in them. I have a 90 gal with 6 p's in it going on 2 yrs +. i keep 100 feeders .50 ghost shrimp each week. They non stop eat and i still cnat stop them from chewing on the plants. i think any kind of live plant will benefit them. it all depends on how much light you have for the plants to survive . But like i said b4. I doubt they will stop

i got rbps and none of dem stress the plants... feed dem very well twice a day

java fern is supposed to be bad tasting. i don't know from experience, but it is what i have heard. and its low light so you don't need a ton of light.

if this is just nstarting to happen it may be due to them trying to build a nest site. I would let ur p's arange the plants who know's u may be able breed them. good luck.
