Live plant suggestions for Herbivores

I have 8 Saulosi and a pleco that will tear up a piece of lettuce. I was wanting to bring a little more "life" to my tank and wanted to maybe plant it. Does anyone have any suggestions on type and quantity of live plants that could mix well with my colony? I want to ditch the fake plants but like the look.

Your best bets are Anubias and Java fern, but with Mbuna there are no guarantees.

the only thing that was left intact in my tank with herbivorse was java fern.

The Amazon Sword is a pleco favorite. We planted a tank with them, and 2 different types of plecos (we tried more than one) ate the Swords. Anubias might work, and I've also heard about Java Fern.

Anubias and Java fern in my tank now for over a month, mine don't touch it.
