live plants

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Absolutely. Healthy plants take up nitrogenous wastes, help oxygenate the water, provide cover and visual barriers, and reduce algal growth. The last one only helps you, really, but you can see that plants are a valuable addition to a tank.

I take it that you are just begining so here are some low light plants.hornwart, java ferns dont plant tie onto rocks or wood, crypts, hygro, and pennywort. I would check out the plated tank section and do some reading.Hope ths helps Pat:) I just noticed you are in Canada I have a lot of moss right now if your intrested just send me a private message. I could sent you a bit you would just have to pay for shipping which is around $5.00

I agree. The "Javas" (Java fern and Java moss) are especially nice- you can hardly kill them if you try. Hornwort will either love your tank or hate it; you just have to transfer it gently and hope for the best.
