Just wondering what kind of live plants would be good to go into an African Cichlid tank?
Right now I have a few Amazon Swords but looking to change it up a little bet.

Thanks......

Amazon swords usually are tough to keep for me. In my 125 tanganyikan tank I've had good luck with all anubias sp., java ferns and jungle vals. The key is whether or not the fish you keep will eat them or not. All the Plants I listed do fine in harder water and don't require tons of lighting.

Anubias coffeefolia are incredibly hardy and grow well in low to high light, and eventually the rhizome can be cut into many separate plants. Java fern and eelgrass are usually pretty effective too.

I have some Ambulia bunch plants and mine seem to really enjoy their ability to hide in and around it as it is soft and creates hiding places - they're also fairly sturdy so my Jewels havent managed to root it up.
