hello, ive been checking out monster fish for a long time, so i'm not really new to the site, but this is my first post.
i'm working on setting up a 55 salt, and i'm ready to get the rock. i'm thinking about putting 100lbs in it, but would like to see some pictures of how full the tank would look. it would be great if some of you could post some picts. much thanks

dont have a 55 anymore but I put in 60lbs of live rock and it was just enough to fill it but not crowd it. I'd say go with 60-70lbs live rock.

IMO it all depends on the rock and how dense it is....heres my 55

EXACTLY!!!!

50 pounds of granite does not have NEARLY the same surface area as 50 pound of, say, lava rock

assuming you have good porous live rock, as little as 40 can work unless you stock the hell out of it and rely on the rock for filtration...

unfortunately good porous LR is the most expensive :D
