Live Rock instead of carbon?

Hi guys I have a 20 gallon tank with an aquaclear 50 cycling the tank right now. I have an aquaclear mini (Old one) that I cannot find a new foam piece for. I was wondering if I could put live rock inside the filter instead of carbon for natural filtering? Thanks

of course you can but what is in your saltwater tank now live rock at all if so I would use a filter bag and get some black diamond carbon and use that in the aquaclear instead.
