Will platies and guppies eventually over populate my 125 gallon? Im not sure if this is possible in a community. It seem like most of the babies will end up eaten buy the other fish in my tank. Has anyone ever had a large tank to become over populated by platies or guppies?

Depends on what types the other fish are. For it to be over run I'm sure it would take awhile, depending on how many you start with.

I have about 13 platies and 4 or 5 are females.

If you have lots of floating plants in the tank, the fry will survive. Otherwise, the fry will be eaten by the other fish.
