Has anyone done any business with this company(livekoiforsale.com)? I'm thinking about bringing in an order, would love to hear some feedback. Thanks

If anyone is interested, I just looked at their FB page and lots of recent complaints of non deliveries/late deliveries. So I think I'm going hold off ordering anything from this company. Does anyone know of any good koi/goldfish wholesalers?

Hi Wailua Boy,

Brock here from livekoiforsale.com. I just wanted to let you know that I was hospitalized for 3 months with something called acute necrotizing pancreatitis. I got a lot of complaints on the facebook page during that time. I am on the mend and back to work. Everyone has been refunded or got their fish shipped. We are shipping out quality Koi every week and we do ship to Hawaii. Take care...

Brock

Brock,

Welcome to MFK!!! I'm glad to hear you're on the mend from such a harsh disease. Would you happen to offer wakin goldfish? I'm particularly looking for calico wakin.

Hello,

Thanks for the welcome! I dont have any calico wakins right now. The current red and whites we have in stock are really nice with some great patterns.

Take care,

Brock

I ordered 4 ranchu from them and they are now using fedex overnight for flat fee 39$ outside of Ca. I had two red and two black. The two reds were 3 times the size of the blacks and they were all 4 in the same bag. One red was DOA and one of the black had a scratch on the tail hump that I think was just from the packaging of them all together and bumping. He replied to me saying he would replace the red ranchu. I ordered a 5 pack few days later and they arrived on time. I had the following in the pack.

Red ranchu -replacement. fine.
calico ranchu -fine
calico ranchu -fine
white ranchu - fine
red top ranchu- gill cover deformed on right side. obvious most of gill showing.
a copper or bronze colored ranchu like fish. Had a very pointed head almost like a normal goldfish and one pupil was much larger than the other. This fish terrorized my tank and I didn't realize until I saw him doing it. He was eating the fins off the other fish. My telescope was tailess overnight and I am not sure she will make it. Two other ranchu have bites out of their tails and I have this unknown ranchu/hybrid isolated. I think there might be brain injury?

Half of them have fused tails and while technically not a defect per say it is not desirable.

Two issues. Pack/bag the fish in two or one. Not 4-6 in the same bag where they bang into each other and not two small fish packed with two much larger fish.
Selecting and sending fish to people that are obvious culls/deformed and not to breed standard is not fair and misleading.

If you order from this guy I would suggest ordering the select fish where you can hand pick the fish and also requesting each fish be placed in its own bag. If not he will send them in one big bag.

I have ordered enough fish to know DOA's happen and such but I draw the line at deformed fish. ( I know all the fancy goldfish are deformed but I mean deformed in essential fish function structures).

I am looking for an alternate provider and figuring out what to do with this fin eating fish. Does anyone have other sites for ranchu? I already know about Danny O.

I also purchased fish from them ,45 koi fingerlings half we're dead and the other half died the next day. They came laying on their sides and the rest floating. My guess is amonia poisoning by what they looked like. I am still waiting on a refund 3 weeks later.Sent several e-mails he said he would give me a refund but still haven't heard from him since.
