Liver

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My brother feeds his JD deer liver, so I guess it would be ok. I have fed my clown knife deer heart and he liked it.

I've never really tried to feed my fish live stock or poultry. Semonila is one concern and the fat content is another concern...but that's just me. ;)

:iagree: I would think that it would be too fatty, but once and a while it should be alright.

So is Semonila as great of a threat to the fish as it is to humans?

Semonila is a bacteria that I don't want to mess with. :grinno:

Remember...bacteria loves warmth and moisture, so I wouldn't be surprise if Semonila can live in the aquarium. It may not affect the fish, but it'll be around. One day, you can be cleanig out your tank and have a cut on your finger...not a pretty situation.

If I am not mistaken I do think salmonella is VERY present in aquariums, as for chicken livers ect.I am sure they will eat it, but it may be a little too high in fat like they said ?
