LiveSand + Almost Established Tank = 2nd Cycle?

Hi Hi =^__^=

Will adding live sand to an almost established tank cuase a second cycle in my tank =S? he current substrate in the tank is 5 lbs of this artificial based sand I think itz artificial.. and i know this sand is safe for fresh and salt water. and 1 lb of crushed coral.

To avoid a second cycle, would it be possible to just add a small cup of Live sand from an established mature tank in my tank =D?

And hopefully from there it will seed my substrate even though it is not crushed aragonite =^_^=?

or would my substrate have to be aragonite base inorder for me to seed it =D?

what do you guys think, will this work out =^_^=?

hmm while lurking around random forums i read stuff that a bag of carb sea live sand might not even be worth it since.. we cant really tell how long the beacteria in there will live, also the bag is packed with oxygen and it sits on the LFS shelf for days and days, how long can that bacteria really last for? wouldnt we just be adding dying bacteria to the tank? they mentioned something about the gimik that carib sea uses becuase they know we cant test their live sand if there really is alot of organism in it, most organism that repopulate the sand coem from the live rock. <--- this was general idea i read on several stuff online. Just a small debate i stumbled apon =D umm so yeah =D

do you think taking a small amount from established LFS tank btter thank buying big bag that i dont really need all that LS lol.

But... now lets find out if... adding a msall portioned of established live sand in my sand bed... which i dont think my bed is aragonite.. will it populate my sand bed =D?

The only thing in my bed is this artificial salt water sand which is safe for fresh and salt water.. mixed with some crushed coral. Do you think the Established live sand will populate my and bed even if itz not aragonite based?
