Can you feed your tropical fish lizards(alligator?) that you catch, say by a creek or reservoir?

They don't have any harmful stuff in them do they?(Unless they're eating pesticide loaded bugs)

Doesn't sound very easily digestable.

Depends on the fish your feeding, and whether that is in their natural diet and if they can digest it..

Also might introduce pathogens into the tank.. Although the Lizard might have built immunities to certain diseases, it could be a courier and introduce a north american parasite that has never met a south american fish ~ bad.

Some reptiles secrete toxins, especially if harvest fresh out of the wild, the toxins would have their greatest potency.

Over in asia they use frogs, geckos, channa and dojo loaches as feeders.. Seems to work good too, I always notice the arowanas being fed frogs and dojo loaches seem to be much healthier than the american aros that get comets and frozens..

I wouldn't.
Alligator lizard tend to have tons of parisites.
Ship em to me instead. :D

I dont know of any one house that hasnt had a house gecko present at some point. Catch those and then feed to your larger fish for a protien rich, bulking, conditioning food.

Well if you are talking about and Alligator it depends on what fish.

But beware of the bones and all. They could get stuck in a fishes throat.
