In nevada, possession of a live game fish is illegal. Pretty sure the law is the same in california.

yea it will work fine as long as they are similar size. U just mite want to quarantine the lmb before adding him

i was under the impression that LMB were cold water fish.. but if they can handle the same temps that the cichla need i see no reason why they can't be together.

does seem strange that CA would let you keep native fish and not native reptiles though?
