How long should a LM bass be OK in a 220 gallon also is it OK to feed them gold fish and what can I keep with them in that size of a tank

IMO he could fit in their his whole life given adequate filtration and water changes. Don't feed them goldfish, they are unhealthy and you will not be able to convert him over to freeze dried/frozen once he gets a taste of live. Tank-mates would include bullhead catfish and larger lepomis sunfish, but keep in mind only 1-2 of the tank-mates i mentioned because a largemouth is already quite enough, some might even go as far to say it is overstocked.
 
Really you think a bass could stay in there his whole life it is no big deal to me because i have a 4 foot deep pond in my back yard that is 25x25 that is private and no way to get out
 
Not it's whole life, but for a good while. I would stay away from feeding goldfish as many health problems can occur. There are plenty of other great food sources.
