I know I have seen other members pics with pbass and Lmb together in the same tank. Really just curious if the experts here at mfk actually approve of this. The biggest concern I had was temp, but being in Louisiana our temps stay high. So a Lmb from Louisiana should be (decently) suited to thrive in a high temp for a pbass, right? But with adequate tank size, same size bass etc would or could it work? I know the Lmb wouldn't die from the temp immediately, our summers get ridiculous so shouldn't be a problem for short term, but long term?

I should clarify I am not planning anything, just wanted to get everyone's thoughts. After all this is mfk, and what good is keeping fish if we can't daydream a little? Lol

i have kept lmb at tropical tempatures for long periods w/o any problems at all, and have kept them with pbass with out problems. i'm pretty sure in florida they live in the same ponds, lakes, etc.

Yeah, I didn't figure there would be a big compatibility issue as long as their size is close. Mostly was concerned with long term tropical temps, glad to hear it could work. U got any pics of them together by chance? Nice avatar by the way!:headbang2

Anybody else have experiences? Or even better experiences AND pics? I just think seeing these two types of bass together seems pretty cool, not sure what it is. Once again I'm not planning anything, just like the idea

i did have lmb and pbass together at one point but lmb get boring (i grew up raising lmb)..but together in a tank they are fine..just boring..lol
