I have done this before but not to the extent of co2 to heavy planted... I will also have no smaller critters inside the tank. Becuz i believe the lmb will eat all my otto fish and shrimp. Or will the heavy plant system just might keep him at bay from eating them.

No, he'll get to them all eventually. I had a planted tank with natives at one time and my baby BN plecos got eaten and the bunch of ghost shrimp that I put in there (which were feeders anyway).

thanks guess ill have to keep the plants clean in some other way... or i hope they stay nice and green with the high lights and co2. oh and did it like the plants?

Mine never figured out what Ghost shrimp were.. every time he see one and slowly swim after it, It would jump out of the water to its death.

Didn't have a LMB in that setup, just rock bass and sunfish. I'd assume the outcome would be the same with a LMB though. My LMB ate the same food as my rock bass and other fish. He'd eat pellets and get food off the bottom and look for it in hiding spaces, so I don't think he woulda had a problem finding food in plants.

I bet he woulda liked plants though since he liked the driftwood and everything else in there. They like to sit anywhere that has a bit of cover and looks natural.
