I got two LMB this weekend, one is an inch and the other is about half an inch. I am doing alot of reading and I think I may be able to get them onto flake because at this size they are still eating algae and particles of plankton. if they dont take to the flake I'm gonna go with bloodworm or mysis shrimp. I dont know when you stop calling them fry, and start calling them fingerlings, I imagine its now. since its early august and theyre from northern ontario I estimate theyre 60 days old. shouldnt be too hard to get them onto various foods due to such a young age. I'm really excited, its been almost 10 years since I had a LMB, and he was already 4inches so half the fun was gone. anyone have any experience or input on these little guys, there was a tadpole in with them but he's nowhere to be found, I'm convinced he's hiding because I dont think he would fit in theyre mouth very easily but who knows..they are LMB afterall. my goal is to achieve as much growth as possible in theyre first year, so I think I'm gonna straight to mysis shrimp and bloodworm anyways. thanks in advance for anyones input
