I have had these for a while now, they lay eggs regularly, but getting them to hatch is another story

Any suggestions?

Have used alder cones, worked twice. The eggs are fertile and fungus over on days 8-10

I think I remember that many eggs and young fry are quite succeptible to bacteria and fungi that the adults are resistant of. When Wyldfya was dabbling with freshwater angel breeding he told me that the eggs need some methyline blue in their tank to nutralize these problems. I don't know if this is the way for a lot of different fish or not. Sorry I'm not much help, but at least you have something to look into.
