Hello does anyone know if any type of loaches May be compatible with these fish:
breeding pair of angel fish
2 Cory cats
4 plates
3 Black skirt tetra
A betta
Unknown amount of small snails
They are all in a 40 gallon with light planting. The temp varies from 75 to 80. There is also some drift wood.

Clowns would be too aggressive for the angels & they would punch holes in all your plants looking for snails. They would decimate the snail population, though. Angelicus botia is a better choice--Less aggressive for sure. That said, every angelicus I've ever had needed to be quarantined, dosed with copper to kill the ick & velvet they all seem to come with, then treated for worms with garlic & either metro or dog de-wormer powder. Loaches can live in copper all day, but don't tolerate salt very well, so ick treatments using salt are a 50/50 proposition at best & doesn't address the velvet issue. A medium dose of copper in a QT tank for 2 weeks & they're rock stars.
