State of chaos
There were 2 Loaches, about 4-5'' long in an LFS. One wasn't doing to good. They were dark dusky gray with an orange tail and orange-tinged dorsal. It was labeled as "Botia Loach." Gee, thanks lfs, could not have figured THAT out on my own!!:shakehead:wall::duh::swear:

Yep. Yasuhikotakia modesta. Have nine of these nasty loaches. I'm uploading pics hopefully this week of them.

I wish I could find some again! I've kicked myself for a year for not keeping the 4 I had. They're definitely rough & tough enough to hold their own in about any Cichlid tank. Some of them are even too tough for some SA/CA Cichlids. Dang, I wish I'd have kept mine :-/

My alpha modesta suffered deep graze marks on his caudal peduncle after an hour long skirmish with two others.:shakehead

I had a Modesta successfully defend a wood cave against a Salvini cichlid. That's tough.

are they compatible with clowns? i've seen a few of those around and some tiger's and was thinking of getting some of each to go in with the shoal.
