Looks like my ich infested loaches (Clowns, Yo-Yo show no signs of spots yet) are sheading their slime coat....

Is this their natural defense against it? They are also spending a lot of time in the return.

Off to the LFS for salt. Had cranked the heat up to 83 for the last two days. Unfortunately, my heaters haven't made it to 84+. Sidenote: Do acrylic tanks loss heat more than glass? I was hesitant to add salt since I have a few cats in the tank as well.

All other fish and the loaches are eating and swimming as normal. With the exception of the CL's spending more time in the return, and "sheadding" of the slime coat.

Finally got the temp to 84 on Sunday. I added salt at a 1 teaspn./gal. and put a two outlet airpump in the sump. One on the inlet side and one by the return pump.

It's been three days (with salt and 84+ temps.) and my CL's look like s***!!!! There bodies are splotchy and breathing is rapid. I used all the salt I had on Sunday and thinking I need a WC. Should I do the WC and re-salt, or just bump the salt up a little and do a WC this weekend?
