Let me start this off by saying "I HATE DECOR MADE OUT OF RESIN".
There we go.
So I come home from work today and I notice that I can't find either of the two clown loaches that I bought the other day in my smaller tank. Immediately, I know they're in my resin driftwood. So I get one out pretty easily and quickly. The other one just isn't coming out. So I had to take turns with dipping it in the water, draining it, and hammering small pieces (very carefully) off. FInally after the 5th cycle like that the little guy falls out. At first it wasn't moving, then I poked it. Yes! It started flopping around and I grabbed the net I had sitting next to the whole ordeal and put it back in the tank.
Bad part of this whole thing is:
1) didn't learn the first time that happened... lol
2) I ruined a decent $40 piece of decor for a $4.50 fish (got him from the Petsmart sale this past weekend).
Good part is:
1) I was already in the process of shifting over to my new driftwood I've been working on.
2) Saved a cutie.
