I'm in the process of setting up a 37 gallon and was trying to decide whether to get a Dojo Loach or two Yoyo Loaches as I've seen these guys in pairs and they're humorous to watch. So basically my question is opinion based, what would you recommend or suggest based on your experience even if it is a different loach?

I'm also aware that the Dojo Loach is also sometimes referred to as the 'Weather Loach' because it can sense changes in barometric pressure (when it's about to rain they become highly active). I was wondering if there were any other loaches that had this trait or any other similar abilities?

why not get both? i have a 20 long with 6 yoyo's, 1 dojo, and 2 skunk loachs, its a real nice looking tank, real plants. go for both!

Get boath. I have both in my loach theme tank.

in my experiences,iv found that most loaches get along.i have 3 yoyos,a tiger loach, and a zebra/stratia loach/botia,all in one tank and in my 70 gallon,i have 2 tiger loaches.you should get a bigger assortment of loaches, rather than just the two

I have Yoyos, Tiger, clowns, striata, weather loaches, queens, burmese, sumos, kuhlii, etc. No problems with fighting.

With loaches its the more the merrier.Thier play gets more complex and interesting the bigger the group.3 striata was fun 5 was better now I got 7 and am thinking of expanding the group again.
I have a tiger too but Ive heard that as they age they dont get along with other loaches so he lives with the mbuna

A shoal of loaches of the same species really looks great. I have plenty of tanks to put problem children in.
