So this morning I was looking at my tank and my shovelnose was chillin on the opposite side of the tank from his usual spot this happens to be very close to my lobsters cave so I decide to drop some pellets in my lobster goes nuts for them when he come out of his cave he literally jumps on the shovelnose trying to attack it its the first time ive seen it happen and the shovelnose certainly had to issue getting away from him but is this something i should worry about or can I assume they will both be okay because of there size i have another tank the lobster could go in but he seems to like this tank the lobster is probably 4 inches the shovelnose maybe 5 and a bit

anyone had any experiences with these 2 together?

my uncle used to have a 55 G with 4 fish and a lobster. needless to say the Managuense killed his JD, and his lobster killed his pleco(gutted the belly). then the lobster killed 1 other fish he had, then one day we lookd into the tank and saw nothing but the front half of the crayfish body it was only the shell. the maanguense ate the tail and watever meat he found.

Im only saying this because sometimes u just get a nasty crayfish. and he might eat ur fish, just have a watchful eye.

my lobster has been messing withthe pleco a little too but the pleco i have is like 8 or 9 inches long so i figured he could probably defend himself a little better just cuz hes real powerful i know the shovelnose will get big quick i just dont wanna see anything happen t o them when i can move the lobster in with the convicts and its not as big of a deal the lobster never attacked any of my smaller fish he seems to like to go for the bigger ones

hes pretty sweet i'd love to see him attack and kill a fish but not my shovel nose kill the feeder goldfish or a guppy

yeah those guys will eat fish so becarefull and once that shovelnose gets big it might eat that lobster so watch them

ya eh maybe I should move him in with my convicts or i'm prolly gonna get a guppie breeder tank he only eats dead guppies

he only goes for the slow ones that have a hard time getting away
