are there any brackish water lobsters?
are there any brackish prawns or crayfish that are like lobsters i know ghost shrimp can be in brackish water i have some big ones but are there any brackish prawns or crays?

Procambarus clarkii's can survive in brackish water for a bit but they do much better and will live much longer in freshwater. It is my understanding that they can also survive in full saltwater but not for very long.

Hi,
I want to know something,I know that slipper lobsters have no bag limit, size limit, and the season is year round.A dive shop told me that the spotted spiny lobster also have no bag limit or closed season. Can anyone confirm me.
Thanks.

Cudamaster13- Crayfish, no. Shrimp and prawns, yes. Many Macrobrachium species (longarm, whisker, or river shrimps) do fine in brackish water and reach large sizes- in some cases much larger than typical crayfish. I have caught 4-5" long Penaeus species shrimp in brackish water but I do not know how they do in captivity. They are good jumpers, I can tell you that much; when I was netting them I saw some individuals leap two yards or more lengthwise.

Jonepark- You're probably going to get more answers if you start a new thread in the fishing subforum. Also be sure to include the state whose waters you are fishing in.
