Me and a friend have been members of a local fish club for a while and now we have decided to make our own. We are waiting to get more members first but are also both working on a Forum and it is really taking off. I just wondered does anybody else belong to a local club? Also Is it ok if i have a link to the Forum in my Signature? As we could do with some more people visiting the site. Thanks guys!

I belong to several aquarium clubs and I am wondering what benefits and why do you want to start your own? All the clubs I go to are non-profit so they rely on members and volunteers helping out. So I am sure your club would welcome any involvement you might offer.

If you do want to start your own, its a lot of hard work for which you will not get thanked for. If you dont have a venue you will need to start sharing members living rooms. As you already belong to a club in your area, I suggest you start looking for local advice there since that will be the most relevant. A charter and direction (hopes and goals) will be your first step.
