location of 44 gallon corner tank

I am trying to think of where to put my new 44 gallon fish tank. The only place I can really put it is not in a corner it is beside my couch. This would mean that only the back side would be against the wall and the other would be by the couch. Would that be okay or does it have to be in a corner for some reason, like maybe for support?

It would be fine along side of you couch. "corner" is just the style of tank. Although designed to go in a corner it doesn't have to go in a corner.
