location of convicts and blua acaras

were do convicts and blue acaras come from the USA

I do believe they are from South America

Actually, blue acaras come from the South America (Orinoco Basin I believe), while convicts are wide spread all over Central America, Both species in the hobby are however captive bred now and with few exceptions come from the fish farms in Florida.
