DESIGN THE INTERNATIONAL LOGO FOR OCEAN'S ADVOCATE!!

Though we have tossed around several ideas, and currently have what we consider our "Generic Logo" in use now, we are looking to come up with a totally new and unique logo for this organization, and have decided two (or two hundred) heads are better than one, so we invite anyone interested to create an awesome logo for Ocean's Advocate and submit it here!!
You can submit as many ideas as you wish, modifying already established ones, or creating several unique ones. Use this thread as sort of a "Brain-storm" central for ideas, and if you create a design you are sure we will love, make sure to also send it to

Oceans_Advocate@hotmail.com

If your design is chosen, it could become the international logo for Ocean's Advocate. Though you won't "win" anything, and the logo will become property of Ocean's Advocate, you will retain the bragging rights later down the road for designing it!!

There is no set structure for the logo, we encourage you to be as creative as possible, but keep in mind the name of the organization and our mission statement, which can be found here:

Ocean's Advocate is dedicated to conservation, education and ecological awareness. It is our goal to enlighten those ignorant to current issues, confront governing bodies, petition for judicial protections, and intercept unlawful practices.

Though Ocean's Advocate will stand for the protection and conservation of all animals, our priority is obviously marine life, and more specifically - will spend a large portion of our time dedicated to sharks.

That's about all we can tell ya, the rest is up to your imagination!!

so do we post them here AND them them via email or what?
would there be a vote or something?

just in case here's a submission of mine i guess..

the light blue fuzzy stuff is supposed to be the wave that is the 'O' in 'Ocean's' breaking...
i did this on microsoft paint and am by no means good at graphic design, so it's nothing fancy.. just and idea to puddle over

Yes you can post them here as attachments. Whether it be a "piece" of a design (like a fin, fluke, etc.) that you think we could use in the main logo, or an entire logo you design, you can throw all your brainstorming and modifications here, and if you happen to create a complete logo that you feel really good about, that is when you can submit it to our e-mail to make sure we get it quickly.

What's your current logo? Does it need to include all the items you list? That would a busy and unstriking logo I think, or someone needs to become really creative :)

Quick mess around, white around it can be removed.

BIG - I'm liking the direction you're headed with the "O". Mic.Paint is pretty limiting, Matt and I are also battling with that. But a good start!

Loubard - It's pretty fuzzy, any way to clean it up a bit? We probably wouldn't use the scale, but I understand it's place (being Justice). And yea we are looking for a logo that yes, might be a bit busy, but will also be one which flows really well, and is extremely unique. No, not all animals need to be included, you can play with any variety of them, or like I said, sketch a "piece" like a fin or something, and throw it up on here for consideration. It will most likely be a "puzzle" of sorts when it comes to the final design and may include bits from several individuals. That's all to be determined. One thing Matt and I are set on though is including sharks in the logo, other than that it's up to your imagination. Right now the logo currently in use is a very basic, very generic wave. I will see if I can attach it tomorrow. Right now I am beat and need to hit the sack.

Good start to both of you, thank you for posting, keep it up!!

Here is a quick design that if you like it I can make in much higher quality and look much nicer. I just threw it together in a quick second on photoshop with some pics off of google images. Given the right higher quality images I could make a much nicer one. If you want a different font or whatever or even a different logo just hit me up.
Woops forgot to adjust image size one sec.... there we go.

LOL wow it's really little! Haha, but I love the sun beams through the water, a favorite site when I dive. I also like that you used animals when making the "O", that's cool! But what the heck is the thing on top?? LMAO I can't figure it out!
The logo has to be one which we can easily reproduce - whether it be on paper, through e-mails, on merchandise, etc., so we want to make sure that it is universal - whether it's in black and white or color. Also, the whole name does not have to appear in the logo, but we want it to be something that will be instantly recognizable even without our name attached. I like the different ideas you guys are coming up with, and remember, if you want your design to be saved by Ocean's Advocate, e-mail it to Oceans_Advocate@hotmail.com

Serafino - you can change it anyway you want to. We made this sticky for people to brainstorm, post up little sections, different fonts, images, sketches, even tattoos that are cool, or whole logo's and throw back ideas, so if you have more you are thinkin of, keep adding them, everything will be considered no matter how small!!

Note - Haha ok I see that you changed the size of the image, thank you! LOL

Here's a quicky...the background is transparent in case your wondering why the edges of the text against the blue ( forum skin ) show up as white at the bottom... ;)

I'm LOVIN the text graphics!!

Oh lol I said it was low quality I guess its really bad. The thing on top is a person freediving. It goes with the idea that they are coexisting and swimming happily and naturally together around one another. I'll come up with a few more ideas. I really like just the idea of the two swimming around each other doesn't necessarily have to be this logo. I'll add some more ideas in higher res too.
