I have ordered one w/ 2 dovii pair for the time being for my 125 (dont worry bigger tank will be here shortly for the dovii!!) Just wanted to see what everyone thought of this combo, who has kept lois and so on. thanks oh btw they are coming from rapps!

I would not advice to put a loisellei with a Dovii pair. I would not advice putting any other cichlids with a Dovii pair 
. A Loisellei would probably be your best bet in a community set-up compared to let's say a freddy or a mota. It's easy to distinguish them because of their rounder and stockier body. I've had success putting them with Vieja's and the Red Devil / Midas complex. They are not overly aggressive but would defend a small territory. Their breeding dress is beautiful (bright yellow gold for the female with a hint or red on the fins and copper brown for males with cool patterns by the gill plate area). I would suggest a divider after the fry's free swimming because the female gets really protective of the fry even with the male. They are not very active that's why sometimes people think they're boring.
My female is around 7" and the male is close to 10" now. These pics are old.

Loisellei's are a very pretty species of Parachromis. I have a female loisellei and she lives in a 100 gallon S.A/C.A cichlid tank. She is the only loisellei I've ever had and the only one I've ever seen at a fish store. She is somewhat aggressive to my JD and used to go after my Oscar until he reached a foot and now she gets chased by him. In the future I plan on getting her a mate (probably from Rapps) and a new tank to breed them in.

Mine came in this morning and he is awesome! right around 6 inches ling. also got a pair of dovii they are closer to 4 inches. all 3 just hang out together while the florida gar just watches, dont worry he has no aggression issues and is well fed.
